Personal callers are welcome (whether you want to collect music you have ordered, or to browse our extensive stock). Although we don't insist on it, it is advisable to phone first if you require help with browsing. Please be aware that between 2.30pm and 4.00pm things can get quite hectic as we will be preparing for our postal collection at 4pm.
About Kershaw Music
Kershaw Music is owned and run by Jonathan and Jacqueline Kershaw who between them have over 30 years of professional musical experience. Jonathan (Managing Director) has worked for more than a decade in the printed music industry and is also a professional bassoonist. Jacqueline is a professional french horn player and teaches all brass instruments, both privately and for the Cornwall Music Service.
Our shop and website gives you access to more than 150,000 sheet music titles from the catalogues of over 300 major music publishers. New titles are added to our database constantly and the website is updated every 24 hours.

We are closed on Bank Holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Online Ordering is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, or you can phone us with your order during business hours.
Our Stock
We carry an extensive range of sheet music ready for same-day despatch. We stock Classical and Educational titles for all instruments (tutors, exam music and repertoire), as well as Rock/Pop, Folk and World Music titles, plus music for singers and choirs.
A particular area of expertise is chamber music and also Large Ensemble music for all combinations (e.g. School Orchestra, String Orchestra, Concert/Wind Band, Flute Choir, Marching Band and much more).
We order from every supplier at least once a week (first thing on Tuesday Morning), so anything not in stock will be obtained within a few days. We cannot guarantee instant availability for every item listed on our website, but we will keep you fully informed of the progress of your order.
CDs and DVDs
We can supply any CD or DVD currently available to the UK market. Due to the complexity of the recorded music industry (with titles being “new issued” and “deleted” at a staggering rate) we have not attempted to list our stock online.
Contact us with your requirements giving as much information (Composer/Orchestra/Soloist etc.) as possible. If you think that the recording you are after might have been “deleted”, inform us when ordering as we are often able to locate such recordings. In all cases we will provide a firm quotation with no obligation to purchase.

These discounts apply to sales of printed music (sheet music) only. Please note that we are unable to give discounts on Hymnbooks or Books about Music (eg. Music Dictionaries and Text Books). We reserve the right not to offer a discount on imported items or scores that are “made to order” (e.g. archive scores). If in doubt as to whether a particular title qualifies for a discount, please ask.
Prices
All non-imported items are sold at the UK Recommended Retail Price. Please note that whilst the prices on our website are correct at time of upload, with so many suppliers and distributors involved, our online price is not a guarantee of the price you will be charged. If you would like a firm quotation, please make this clear when you order.
At present there is no VAT (Value Added Tax) on printed music material, but items such as CDs and accessories usually attract VAT (currently set at 17.5%).
Payment
We accept credit or debit card payment by Visa, Mastercard, Switch, VisaDelta or Solo, but not American Express. If you are paying with a non-UK credit card, your account will be debited with the UK sterling equivalent at the time of order fulfilment. We have no “minimum amount” for card sales, but due to the ever-increasing cost of Bank charges, a surcharge of 50 pence will be added to sales of £6.00 or less.
You can choose NOT to pay for your goods online, in which case we will send you an invoice. Goods will be sent to you on receipt of your payment. Alternatively, you can print out your order and post it with a cheque (in GBP sterling only please) payable to Kershaw Music Ltd. (see address details below).
We do not take payment until your order is ready to be despatched. On high value items (which we do not already have in stock) and items which are “made to order” (e.g. archive scores), we reserve the right to take a deposit, but we will offer you the choice of cancelling your order before this happens.
Delivery
Music is despatched using one of a range of postal services either urgently and/or registered (if required), otherwise as economically as possible.
Within the UK, we use Royal Mail 1st class for packets (up to 2kg) and ParcelForce for parcels (over 2kg). Orders to overseas addresses are usually sent by Airmail (Printed Papers) unless an alternative service is requested.
If you require a trackable service (such as “Recorded” or “Special” delivery within the UK, and “International Signed for” for overseas) advise us when you place your order. These services are added at cost.
